MOTM Ramps up for '09
The 18th Annual Meeting Of The Minds 2009 "Floridays" is very excited to announce playing on a stage near you in Key West "Little Feat".
"Little Feat" has been around since 1969. They are as American as apple pie and rock 'n roll with a little Dixie inflected funk boogie. In 1990 Jimmy Buffett introduced "Little Feat" to the Parrot Head Nation.
This past year 2008 "Little Feat" released their latest CD "Join The Band", that featured Jimmy Buffett on "Time Loves A Hero". The CD was recorded in Jimmy Buffett's studio in Key West. "Little Feat" and Jimmy go way back together.
You will need your Convention Credentials. Don't sit on the fence too long. It's time to get registered

Fruitcakes: we got'em
LIQUID ASSETSThe Sleeper
1/2 oz Absolut Vodka
1/2 oz Blue Curacao
1/2 oz Margaritaville Tequila
1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Captain Morgan Rum
2 oz 7-Up
2 oz Sweet and Sour Mix
Pour all ingredients except the 7-Up into a chilled glass filled with ice cubes. Top with 7-Up and stir gently.
Tequila Zombie -
This drink is a simple and delicoius drink to try this New Year's.
1 shot Absolut Vodka
1 shot Jose Cuervo Tequila
1 splash of Creme de Menthe
1 shot Captain Morgan Rum
2 shots Grapefruit Juice
2 shots Orange Juice
Pour the alcohol in a cocktail shaker and shake. Next add the two juices and mix well. Strain over ice in a tall glass. Also, remember to use just a little Creme de Menthe, you do not need to use too much.
FRUITCAKESYou know I was talking to my friend Desdemona the other day. She runs this space station and bake shop down near boomtown. She told me that human beings are flawed individuals. The cosmic bakers took us out of the oven a little too early -- and thats the reason were as crazy as we are.
And I believe it.
